This page explains the difference between the two options so you can choose the one that best fits your situation.
A Free Estimate is for homeowners who have one or two specific projects that fall within our scope of work and who are interested in getting started in the near future.
A Free Estimate is appropriate for clearly defined projects such as:
Foundation replacement or repair, drainage system repairs or installation, front entry repairs or rebuilds, retaining walls, driveways, basement digouts, or crawlspace structural repairs.
If you fit these criteria and you wish to schedule an estimate.
A Consultation is for homeowners who are considering having work done but are not yet ready to move forward.
A Consultation is a paid visit. The fee is $250/ per hour, and most consultations can be completed in one hour.
After the consultation, we will follow up with estimates for any projects you may want to consider based on our discussion.
A Free Estimate is for specific projects that you want to start now. We will price the work, but our time is limited and discussions will be brief.
Anything else is a Consultation.
A Consultation is the better option if you would like help better understanding the nature of the work, your options, realistic costs, and the pros and cons of other bids.
Both options will be with Jim personally. He has over 40 years of experience and has completed over 1,500 projects, so he can help cut to the chase quickly with seasoned advice and practical insight.
